The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination held in India for candidates seeking admission to prestigious engineering institutes.  The JEE Main July Session preliminary answer key is released on August 3, 2022. Candidates can challenge the answer key till August 5, 2022 (till 5.00 PM). The final answer key, along with the JEE Main July session exam results, got declared on August 8, 2022. Candidates can download the JEE Main Session 2 results from the official website by logging in with their application number, date of birth, and security pin.

As per the latest information, JEE Apex Board (JAB) will now oversee JEE Main Exam 2022. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will provide logistic and administrative support to the JEE Apex Board to conduct JEE Main 2022 and 2023 exams smoothly. NTA has also successfully concluded the JEE Main 2022 June session on June 29, 2022, and released the result for the same on July 11, 2022. 

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency has released JEE Main eligibility criteria for 2022, and according to the criteria, there is no age restriction. As per the NTA, candidates who have passed class 12 or have appeared in class 12 equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or 2022, regardless of their age, can appear in JEE (Main) 2022.

This year, NTA has removed 75% criteria from the minimum eligibility norms. However, for JEE Mains Architecture and Planning courses, candidates have to score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination. JEE Main 2022 Age Criteria

JEE Main 2022 does not have an upper age limit. However, candidates may be required to meet the age requirements of the institutes to which they wish to apply.

JEE Main 2022 Educational Qualification

Let us look at JEE Main 2022 educational qualification requirements: 

  • Aspirants must have passed their 12th examination or an equivalent exam in 2022 or 2021. 
  • Candidates appearing for 12th boards (or equivalent) in 2022 are also eligible to apply for the examination.

JEE Main 2022 Number of Attempts

NTA announced that the number of attempts for JEE Main 2022 will be reduced to two attempts from four attempts.

JEE Main 2022 Language Proficiency

Let us look at the language proficiency for JEE Main 2022:

  • JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in 13 regional languages including, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
  • In this way, students will write the exams in their own language.

Candidates have to register on the official website of JEE Main before applying for the exam. Steps to fill out JEE Main registration form 2022 are mentioned below:

  • Visit the JEE Main official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/  
  • Click on Apply for JEE Main 2022
  • Now click on New Registration
  • JEE Main 2022 Registration window will open. Candidates have to fill in their details like name, date of birth, gender, etc
  • Click on the checkbox and tap on Click Here to Proceed

JEE Main application number will be generated and displayed on the screen.

How to Fill JEE Main 2022 Application Form?

  • Log in to the official website using your credentials.
  • Fill out the application form for JEE Main 2022 with the necessary details.
  • Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.
  • Now, pay the application fee.
  • Click on the Submit button. 

Candidates are advised to save the login credentials and take a printout of the application form for future references.

Dos and Don’ts of JEE Main 2022 Form Filling

Applicants should apply for JEE Main 2022 online. Only one application is to be submitted by the applicant as multiple application forms will be rejected. Any attempt to violate this rule can lead to the candidate being disqualified, with legal action being taken, such as debarring from all future examinations conducted by JEE Apex Board.

Candidates should have the following documents ready before filling out the online application form:

  • A computer/laptop with a stable internet connection
  • Qualification details
  • A clear passport photograph (scanned copy) in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb)
  • A scanned copy of signature JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)
  • A scanned copy of Class 12 or an equivalent admit card/mark sheet (size between 50 kb- 500 kb)
  • Valid Email ID
  • Valid mobile number
  • Net banking account, UPI or a valid debit/credit card 

Please Note:

  • The final submission of the online application form will remain incomplete if all the steps are not completed.
  • The application fee will not be refunded once it has been paid.
  • The entire process of application for JEE Main is online, and candidates are not required to send/submit any copies of the document(s) to JEE Apex Board through post/fax/email.
  • JEE Apex Board can use the data generated for analysis and research.

All the applicants who have submitted the online applications and paid the fees for JEE Main Session 2 will be allowed to appear for JEE Main 2022. The admit cards for the same are uploaded on the official website as per the official schedule.
